Importing Data

Rabrain allows importing data from other popular bookmarking or read-it-later services.

Importing from Pocket

  1. Go to the Pocket export page and follow the instructions to export your data into an archive file.
  2. After a couple of minutes, Pocket will mail you a zip file with all the bookmarks or articles you have saved.
  3. To import the data to Rabrain, go to the library page and click the "Upload" button next to the Pocket icon. Import Pocket data
  4. A file upload dialog will appear. Select the zip file you received from Pocket and confirm your choice.
  5. Rabrain will start importing the data. This may take a few minutes.
  6. Once the import is complete, you'll see the imported bookmarks or articles in your library.

A new collection will be created automatically with the name "Pocket". The imported bookmarks or articles will be added to this collection.

Importing from Omnivore

  1. Go to Omnivore's account settings page to export all of your data.
  2. After a couple of minutes, Omnivore will mail you a zip file with all your data. You can also download the file from the account settings page.
  3. To import the data to Rabrain, go to the library page and click the "Upload" button next to the Omnivore icon. Import Omnivore data
  4. A file upload dialog will appear. Select the zip file you received from Omnivore and confirm your choice.
  5. Rabrain will start importing the data. This may take a few minutes.
  6. Once the import is complete, you'll see the imported bookmarks or articles in your library.

A new collection will be created automatically with the name "Omnivore". The imported bookmarks or articles will be added to this collection.
